On 27.02.2023 a shocking incident of murder took place in Hatkhola area under Gopalnagar PS, Bongaon PD. Where brother in Law brutally killed his sister in law with axe, due to land dispute. He was directly provoked by his mother and his sister. Thereafter, on the basis of the written complaint of the deceased's brother, a case was initiated against the said accused persons at Gopalnagar PS vide FIR no. 114/23 dt- 27.02.2023 u/s- 302/120B/34 IPC. During Investigation the Investigating Officer S.I. Santanu Mishra arrested the three accused persons and seized the offending weapon that was used for committing the offence. A detailed charge sheet with evidence was submitted before the Ld. Court within the specified time under the supervision of SP Bongaon PD and other Senior officers. After completing the speedy trial the Ld. ADJ-II Bongaon Court delivered the verdict of this sensational case within one year on 27/02/2024 and sentenced the three accused persons for life imprisonment with a fine of INR 5000.00 each.
