On 06.09.2023, Kobera Khatun reported her daughter Rahima missing, suspecting neighbours Tarabanu and Bakibilla. A relentless investigation led to a breakthrough in January 2024, when both accused were arrested. Interrogation revealed that Rahima, once in a relationship with Bakibilla, had been kidnapped and murdered, her body buried beneath a kitchen floor in Iswarigacha. Police recovered her remains on 25th January, later confirmed by DNA.

With a well-documented investigation and strong prosecution by Special PP Shri Sanjoy Das, the court convicted both accused on 14th November 2025, sentencing them to life imprisonment.
