In another successful cyber fraud intervention, the Cyber Crime Police Station of Bongaon Police District has helped recover a substantial amount of money lost by a citizen.

Fraudsters exploited a lost mobile phone and transferred ₹91,100 from the complainant’s bank account through UPI transactions. Acting promptly on the complaint, the Cyber Crime team traced the fraudulent accounts and secured the funds by placing them on hold.

Following due legal procedures, ₹82,100 has been successfully refunded to the victim, while efforts continue to recover the remaining amount.
