In view of the foregoing reasons and discussion, convict (1) Tarak Karmakar (2) Samir Karmakar (3) Joydeb Karmakar and (4) Sabitri Karmakar are sentenced to suffer life imprisonment (Simple) each with fine of Rs.10,000/- (Ten Thousand) each and in default thereof, convicts shall undergo (Simple) imprisonment for a further period of one year each for the offence punishable U/Sec. 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
The convicts are sentenced to suffer (Simple) imprisonment of two years each with fine of Rs.3,000/- (Three Thousand) each and, in default thereof, the convicts shall undergo (Simple) imprisonment for a further period of three months each for the offence punishable U/Sec 498A/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
Following a thorough investigation by Inspector Nanda Dulal Debnath (Formerly SI of Police) , all accused persons were arrested, and relevant charges were framed based on the findings.
On 9th June 2026, the Ld. ADJ, Fast Track 2nd Court, Bongaon pronounced life imprisonment under Sections 498A/302/34 IPC against all four accused:

Joydeb Karmakar (Father-in-Law)
Sabitri Karmakar (Mother-in-Law)
Samir Karmakar (Brother-in-Law)
